Gone are the days when you’d meet your guest at the rental property, hand over the keys, and provide a walk through.

A big part of my day to day doings is to manage my listings, focused on answers and message outreach, including developing story angles, networking with our cleaners and lots of follow up and keeping our apartments up-to-date with frest flowers, fruits and welcome gifts.

With so much involved, the reality is that you need align your guest-hosting with the modern traveler´s journey, comfortable with low friction. Interactions in the check-in process to be simple, and communication up front with you as the hosts or property manager seamless and responsive.

I love using Sharebox to see if our guest are checked in. It’s great to see in real time in the app when keys are picked up. Sharebox send text messages *only* to people who are first timers. Frequent travelers mostly install the app and get in-app messages from Sharebox, so it helps cut through the clutter and receive important information as my season activities builds up.

Five Fast Questions

1. What would you tell other Airbnb hosts considering using Sharebox?

Sharebox is especially awesome for vacation rental check-ins. Sharebox makes it easy to find the right pick-up spot nearby.

2. What would your job be like if you didn’t have Sharebox?

Ugh, it would be slower! It would take a lot longer and I would definitely miss having access to Sharebox. I wouldn’t be able to be so quick and efficient and it would be much more time intensive to do the same kinds of vacation rental I do now.

3. If you had to explain how you use Sharebox in a 140-character tweet?

@sharebox2 helps me to effectively check-in my guests’ anytime.”

4. How would you describe your experience with Sharebox in three words?

Useful, efficient and easy.

5. What has your experience been like working with Sharebox’s customer success team?

I like that you can chat with Sharebox’s customer success team in real time; you can tell you’re talking to an actual person which is great. Honestly though, I haven’t had to contact Sharebox very often because the system is so intuitive.

OK, so you understand that hosting are changing and that you must adapt to the new realities of how listings and self-service automation need to work together.

As a result, the hosting that you know today is changing big time in 2020 and beyond. It´s time for hosts and property managers to adjust the sails.
